Just started with period pains. Could this be normal or should I be worried? Iv only had it for the last hour so I could maybe just wait to see if it goes off? Thanks

Ring your midwife at once - or go to Casualty. Truly. It might be nothing, but better safe than sorry.

You sound worried. There should be a page near the front of your maternity notes saying who to ring with any concerns at different stages of your pregnancy. Best to speak to someone and hopefully all will be well Smile

Please go to hospital or ring midwife ASAP. Hopefully nothing but you need to be checked.

YY, phone midwife/hospital as directed in your notes.

And if the pains become so severe you can't talk through them, ring 999.

SoupDragon · 21/07/2017 16:06

I agree that you should be seen by a doctor/midwife.

Are the pains regular?

Dede124 · 21/07/2017 21:31

Thanks everyone. So I rang the midwife and she didn't seem concerned she just said to call if the pain came back and the baby probably kicked my bladder and made me wee a bit with out realising? Confused anyway she said as long as I can still feel her moving everything should be ok x

If you feel concerned go to A&E. They/maternity can monitor the baby - much better than you worrying xxx

I hope you're feeling better this morning, but please do seek a second opinion if not Flowers
