Hi!

This is my first post and I'm very new to the community, so I apologise if this has already been discussed. I do wish to continue however, because many of my recent pregnancy related searches turn up with threads from ye olden days
Ok...

So I'm 33 weeks pregnant, and for some time now, I wake up in the morning absolutely STARVING. When I say starving, I mean I've been so hungry that I've thrown up up before I could get out of bed and downstairs to the kitchen, because the hunger pains were so intense! It's strange because I must also say that yes, I eat before I go to sleep. In fact, I stuff my face like a pig in a trough. I squeeze all 5 portions in and by bedtime I'm so full up I can barely adjust myself to sleep lol

This is my second pregnancy and the hunger happened in the first at this same stage, but back then we lived next to a fresh bread shop, so my saviour of hubby would wake up first thing in the morning (thanks to a lil' push and kick) ...and bring me a massive pack of naan bread. We would joke that I, (still in bed) looked like that Twilight scene where she's giving birth, all skeleton-like laying on the verge of death
Saved by naan bread lol

This time around Im not that lucky, but I do have a bunch of bananas by my bed, and I cannot testify enough how much they help.
am I the only one sooooo hungry yet soooo piggish?

Around 18 weeks, I had a period of waking up in the middle of the night super hungry and then eating a (very) substantial snack before going back to bed :)

Now I'm 31 weeks and if I get too hungry, my heartburn gets really bad, so I'm eating frequently now too.

I actually enjoy that pregnancy is helping me learn to listen to my body's needs better.

Can you keep something more substantial by your bed? Throwing up from hunger sounds really hard! Or can your husband bring you something in the morning? I bet you miss that bakery.

Haha! I feel your literal pain... heartburn. I tend to call it acid because it sits like a pool of it in my throat. I've had to sleep sitting up because... ewww* if I lie down lol
What's helped me abit was switching to soya milk, as well as eating loads of bananas.

"I bet you miss that bakery"
Oh boy do I! It was the most perfectly flavoured soft doughy warm fresh bread I've ever had, served straight out the oven into a plastic bag, that would steam out when ravaged open! ohhhh joy! The wait for it to arrive was excruciating; to be starving and know whats coming - I'd have to lay still and pep talk myself through the wait, you know, try not to die lol

This time round, to curb the hunger, I have 'dinner' for breakfast. 2 plates as per usual (leftover lover lol) and very it's very filling.

Mmmm Food Cake

That was my nighttime cereal stage. And by cereal I mean cereal and milkshake and crisps and biscuits Grin I was the size of a house by 40 weeks but I was just SO HUNGRY at night and had insomnia during pregnancy so it was a whole comfort eating / body being weird situation.

I don't mind putting on weight myself, but because such is life, I barely put it on. But not my baby oh no. I'm not due for another 2 months. I look like I'm due in 2 minutes

At least you ate happy food! I don't discriminate either to be honest. If my body wants, it gets :)

I'm 34 weeks pregnant and this is my first pregnancy. Over the last 3 nights I have woken up multiple times absolutely starving. I have to get up and eat the hunger is so bad, I have had cereal or fruit and hope that I will fall back asleep!

Does the night hunger go? I don't even have any food in the house that I can quickly grab if I wake up tonight as I have eaten it all!
