Hi ladies

Hoping for some advice/experience on whether anyone of you has had a urine infection during the first trimester and what was done about it?

I had my booking in appt today wih the mw and when she checked my urine sample she said some protein was detected. Mw has sent sample off for testing and asked me to call gp in a week for results. Thing is I said I didn't have any other symptoms (or didn't think I did!) at the time but since the appt I've realised that actually I do appear to have a few..! These include: very frequent urination but just a dribble (sorry tmi) irritable feeling like I need to wee all the time even after going and a strong odour (almost like sugar puffs, sorry!)

Do you ladies think I should contact gp in the morning instead of waiting a week? Tia ladies X

I had this too, according to my GP, it's common in pregnant women. Got antibiotics in a couple of days.

Yep, 9wks and on antibiotics - supposedly very common.

Thank you for the response ladies, I'm going to call gp when they open and explain that I have symptoms!
