Red spotting 6 weeks pregnant

I am really scared, I have had some red spotting and I am 6 weeks pregnant. I have had a previous miscarriage in March this year and I am absolutely frightened that this will happen again. I have had mild cramping and went for a scan on Monday last week but it was too early to see anything and I have another scan booked on Friday. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience of bleeding at 6 weeks and whether I should expect the worst again.

Have you updated the epu about the spotting? They might move your scan forward
I wish I could give you some reassurance but I'm at a similar stage to you. 6 weeks, scan last week due to spotting and another booked in for tomorrow.
From what I've read it's fairly common and doesn't always mean the worst. Try to rest. I'll be crossing my fingers for the both of us x

I'm 7 weeks today and this morning began getting brown discharge, there was a tiny bit of pink when I first wiped (sorry if TMI). I also have very mild cramps.

I called my GP who have referred me to the early pregnancy unit and said I should expect to hear from them by the end of the week with an appointment for a scan.

Thankfully, by a fluke, I have a private scan booked for this evening. I'll try to remember to come on here after and let you know how I get on as hopefully it'll give you some hope (and me some good news).

I had spotting when I had the last scan and she said unless I am filling a pad that I should just wait for my next scan. It is tomorrow so will update you on how I get on, really hoping everything is all right.

That's optimistic then. I'm sure you'll be ok but I totally get your nerves.
Just had my scan and I was a bad of nerves. Thankfully all was ok I cried when I saw the heartbeat.
Everything crossed for you. Keep us posted x

I bled throughout the first 3 weeks of my last pregnancy, so much so that I thought it was a period and had a bit too much champagne at a party. After 12 days of bleeding, I took a test, which was positive. A scan the next day showed things were normal with the pregnancy.

At 8 weeks, I had a massive bleed. I went to A&E and spent an awful night waiting for the EPU to open. They found significant bleeding around the baby and didn't seem terribly positive.

At 12 weeks, they were surprised to see me back (same sonographer, my DH noted the reaction). Blood was still there.

At 20 weeks, the blood had gone.

DD2 is 9 weeks old and sitting in her bouncer smiling at me. She made it.

It's not always bad news, but it's really really tough not to worry, I know. Flowers

Good luck for all waiting for scans. . Waiting is torture.
Wasn't good news for me but know my age was to blame.
Fingers crossed. .

So glad your scan went well, it has given me some hope. Fingers crossed I get some good news tomorrow too x

I forgot to clme back to tell ypu how minr went...

It went really well, I'm less pregnant than I thought, which might explain the spotting. Saw a flicker of a heart beat so I'm happy.

Fingers crossed for you.

Oh good Lord, I should definitely read texts before I send them! And not try to type then lying sideways in bed! Haha

laramariah · 21/07/2017 19:07

So happy for you.

I had my scan today and I am also less far along than I thought, they could not see a heartbeat so will have another scan next week but she said with the bleeding it's not looking good. Feeling like hope is lost at the moment.

There's always hope. There was nothing but an empty sack in my first scan. If you're not as far along as you thought it's probably too early to see a heartbeat.
Everything crossed for you Flowers
