Healthy eating & exercise in pregnancy

Hi everyone,

I'm 17 weeks and have been eating quite horrendously at times over the past few weeks - I have a really healthy day or two then a McDonald's the following to 'make up' for it! I've also been away so there have been more mini magnums than I care to remember. Obviously pregnancy is not the time for diets/overdoing it but I wondered if anyone else is trying to stay on track with healthy, balanced, nutritious food (with the occasional treat!) and would like a buddy/support thread?

My food plan for today
B
Poached egg roll with ketchup & a green juice
L
Veggie pesto pasta with cherry tomatoes, rocket & peas
D
Body coach teriyaki salmon with courgetti and wholemeal spaghetti
S
Satsuma, nakd cocoa orange bar

Exercise
Walking 2+ miles (usual commute and may pop out at lunch time)
20 minute pregnancy yoga at home

I need to be held accountable!! Baby does not need haribo and McDonald's 🙈 well, maybe very occasionally 😊

Oh no, sorry AnUtterIdiot, perhaps I should have this moved?

Hey pickled sausage! Good on you for wanting to be healthy :) I'm almost 36 weeks pregnant and I have found over my pregnancy that even though I try to eat as healthy as possible, sometimes it's just too hard to say no biscuits etc! Don't feel bad for the occasional treat etc. no biggie! Iv.e also exercised 5-6x a week, even throughout morning sickness, and I'm grateful I kept up with it. I've gained about 16-17kg so would hate to think how big I would've been if I hadn't! All the best with your pregnancy and keep up those healthy habits x
