Hi I'm due on Wednesday and I'm suddenly experiencing really bad heartburn belching etc...
I got heartburn throughout my last pregnancy and with this one it hasn't been too bad at all. Nothing that a cup of hot milk couldn't fix.
Isn't it supposed to ease towards the end instead of increasing? Any views or experiences very very welcome!!!
Admittedly I overindulged with sweet foods for the past week especially yesterday (when it started really badly and carried on all through the night really badly) but today I've only had neutral foods and it's still carrying on.

i got really bad heartburn during the last couple of weeks. was unbearable. ranitidine from doc seemed to do the trick.

I had the worst heartburn EVER one afternoon a week before my due date and 12 hours later i had my dd in my arms!

Good luck!

I had the worst heartburn ever for months during pregnancy and during labour. I was not allowed to eat but sucked on extra strong minutes to help sooth it all the time...

the good news is, I am being serious, but it disappeared literally as soon as DS arrived. Honestly, and not had it since.

Thanks everyone, at least I'm not alone. Yes I remember it disappearing as soon as I gave birth last time.
It's depressing though if I have to go through this in labour!!
I don't remember it affecting me last time, perhaps I'd dropped and it eased it toward the end I can't recall.
Or perhaps I was in too much pain to even register!!

Another vote for it getting worse rather than better towards the end - sorry

I spent the last few nights sleeping upright in an armchair to ease the pain. I also downed several bottles of gaviscon! Try to remember it'll all be over soon - you definitely won't be thinking about it when you go into labour

Good luck xx

I can't even have Gaviscon, with this pregnancy it gives me TERRIBLE stomach pains. I swore by it with first.
I've only had to take it twice so far but at what cost!
