Am I in premature labour?

Hey all,
I'm 36+5 and a first time mum. Yesterday, I ended up ringingL&D as had sharp niggly pains in my cervix and they were quite sore, midwife said it sounds like baby getting engaged, paracetamol and rest, ring back gets worse etc.
Today I've cleaned the house from top to bottom, and now I have pain across my lower abdomen, feels like period pain kind of, and it's not easing up. I've had some paracetamol and on the sofa trying to relax.
Baby is moving fine, no waters gone and I don't think I've lost my plug.

Anyone know what this could be? Like I don't wanna keep pestering the hospital.

You will absolutely definitely know when your in established Labour bad enough to go to hospital! Good luck

Pester away-that's what they are there for. They and you would much prefer a few calls than something to go wrong (not that it sounds like anything is wrong, just turn of phrase). In 2 days you're not premature any more so don't worry too much! Just ring to reassure yourself if nothing else. Best of luck.

It could be the start of labour, yes. I would ring delivery again and explain what's happening.

Good luck!

36 weeks here too, it may be the cleaning you've been doing - especially if reaching or lifting, you may have pulled something in the process. I had the same a couple of weeks ago and was really concerned, it eased off for me in a couple of days but the pain was pretty much consistent.

I cleaned the house top to bottom the day before my waters broke at 38 weeks. Just saying!

Thank you for replying.

Had some paracetamol and decided to go for a walk, kind of feeling better about the pain and baby is dancing as normal. Just feel really tired and abit dizzy now but it has been very hot tonight.
Maybe it is baby getting engaged, or with abit of luck maybe labour starting up haha.
