Hi this is my 2nd pregnancy, I went 15 days over and induced with everything with my first cos my cervix didn't wanna do ANYTHING!
Yesterday was my due date and I asked the midwife if she could at least check if I was thinning or anything and she said I was central, 0.1 thick, soft and stretchy and 1cm dilated. What does it all mean?
She gave me a sweep and honestly I barely felt anything. Obviously I could feel her rummaging but there was no pain whatsoever. She said this was just because my cervix was favourable and it's the 2nd time round.. didn't have any twinges or blood afterward though so not getting my hopes up that anything is gonna come from it. I just desperately don't want to be induced again!
Any advice or stories appreciated!
40+1

I had a sweep with my first at 8 days over. No pain either! I went home thinking nothing had happened, and about 20 hours later was in labour. Fingers crossed it works for you!

Ah alas sometimes sweeps don't work. I didn't have one with either of my pregnancies and both of them arrived at 40+6.... must just be the way that I cook them. You might find that your natural pregnancy time is 41+ weeks, not un-common. Don't worry it will all happen soon. Remember 2nd time around your body know what to do better and nature will take over. Until then rest up, best of luck

Save your energy, it'll happen! Easier said than done, I know. I was climbing the walls, but I always tried to remember that I needed to save my energy for the big event.
Keep us updated, it'll happen soon

You need to start trying to enjoy your last hours /days of peace and quiet imo!!
Do your nails, read a good book, sit in the garden, relax, hard work is ahead. . Its not called labour for nothing!!

Yeah I'm trying to make the most of my last days with my daughter but being so uncomfortable is making it difficult to run around the garden etc! Definitely didn't feel like this when I was overdue with her Hmm
