Freaking out at 5weeks +5

OK so I'm nearly 6 weeks pregnant and I am really really freaking out with constant anxiety. To make things worse this morning when I wiped there was a bit of brown tinged gunge. No pain but I'm seriously worried somethings wrong. I'm booked in to see Midwife but not for 2 weeks. Has anyone else had this? Is it normal?

Yes don't worry. Anything bright red call the surgery but any brown discharge is normal x

And as for the anxiety I still check my toilet and I had my baby 18 months ago! NUTS!

It can be old blood from implantation.
Even bright red blood doesn't necessarily mean the end of the pregnancy (had 9 bleeds at 6—9 weeks, all fine). Pain and bleeding should be checked out if you don't yet know for sure that the embryo is in the uterus and not elsewhere.

It seems to have stopped now so I'm hoping it's nothing to worry about. I really need to stop the constant worrying and frequent toilet 'checking' trips as I'm sure that's not helping with my anxiety.

I'm glad it's stopped, OP. I'm exactly the same! 7+1 and I contstantly check the toilet roll. Every time I pee, I get nervous.
