Was about to go and buy some feta cheese, thought I'd check on asdas website first to see if it's safe but it doesn't actually state pasteurised on any of them? Does that mean they are or not? Anyone know?

NHS says it's fine. Eat that feta!

Pressed too early. I would imagine if it was unpasteurised it would say on packet

Jessiecat27 · 16/07/2017 14:40

I thought that would have been the case, thank you!

I think they only have to say if it is unpasteurised but as a massive cheese lover I find it really annoying that they don't all have to clearly say one way or the other, especially as the NHS advice is that it it's is fine as long as it is pasteurised, but it isn't always obvious! They are so strict on food labelling and allergies these days it makes me cross that these things aren't more clearly labelled for pregnant people! If in doubt I've been switching to one of the salad cheeses which states on it pasteurised cows milk, just for my own piece of mind. I am looking forward to being able to eat ALL the cheeses again without a second thought!

Ha ha ha, I love the big preganacy cheese debate! It says on the packet if it's been pasteurised and if it has you're good to go. That said I've been most irresponsible throughout both my pregnancies, channeled my inner French woman and eaten lots of illegal cheese.
And I've had runny eggs too.

It's fine. I crave it and have it all the time!

I like to think the saltiness is good for my cramp!

Good for low blood pressure too!
