Awful pains at 8 weeks :-(

I'm at 8 weeks and basically feel as if I've come on my period, I get really bad period pains and these pains are exactly the same. Sorry tmi but I sometimes get period pains where i assume it's the womb lining breaking away cos that's kind of how it feels and it feels like that. I've had small amounts of blood too, only when I wipe and only brown apart from a tiny bit of red but I just don't feel like this can be right :-( going to phone the doctors tomorrow if I can even get through, but I go on holiday on Thursday so just hoping I can get seen before then. Not really sure the point to this message is just wondering if anyone has been in the same boat? If I have a mc at this stage will it just be like coming on my period? I'm terrified, we've been trying to not get too excited in case something like this happened but we couldn't help it so now I'm just gutted :-(

If you're concerned then definitely get seen by your GP, or even better by your early pregnancy unit who should see you quickly (especially if you've been bleeding) and give you a scan. You should be able to contact them directly without waiting for your GP.

I had quite severe period type pains around 6 to 8 weeks in my first pregnancy and was told it was due to my womb starting to stretch. All was fine so fingers crossed all will be ok for you too.

No extra advice beyond what Beekeeper says, but good luck x
