Bloated bloated and more bloated

Hey!
I wanted some reasurrance that I'm normal! I'm 9 weeks pregnant and my stomach is huge. Not so much rock hard as in bloated nut just really ballooned out all of a sudden
I'm a size 8 and second pregnancy, could this have something to do with it?!
I'm worrying it means twins DH thinks I look about 5 months already! X

I have the same thing. I think it's just water retention and wind :p if you're worried you could call your midwife. I don't think at this stage size is indicative of multiples

Thank God for that! Ha wind...dont even get me started on that! Is it just me or is everything worse second time round?!

Tell me about it - both times in my first trimester I've been massively bloated, and from really early on too. At my 12 week scan this time, the sonographer tried to take a look at my ovaries - she never said anything and I didn't ask. I looked at the print-out she'd put in my folder afterwards - turns out she couldn't see either ovary due to "overlying bowel gas"! Mortified!!

I'm only 5+2 and have looked five months pregnant since 3+5.

People even give up their seats for me on the train!

I had this too. Lots of peppermint tea helped.

I am 9 weeks too and haven't been able to get my trousers on for about 2 weeks and have had to buy larger leggings :(

Yeah the bloat in the early days is horrendous, it's the high levels of progesterone. Then it easies off and you've got a proper bump! It does make you feel self conscious I think, especially if you're trying to hide being pregnant. Congratulations 😊
