Do I need to worry? Movement is not painful or anything but the baby seems to get more and more active, with less and less sleep time. Anyone else?

If the movements have really increased then yes get checked.
An increase in movement can indicate fetal distress. Sure all is well but best to be on the safe side.

PopTheDragon · 14/07/2017 01:43

Agreed. Any change to fetal movement should be checked.

My little one went extremely active at 36/37 weeks so much so she turnt herself round and is now breech 😒 C section booked for next week as she's now stuck! Best to have any unusual movements checked out x

Yes, as pp said - any change in movement should be investigated.

Just want to say thank you to those that replied to this thread. I'm 37+2 and I didn't know that increased movements was anything to be concerned about, only decreased/weak ones. I've been having some quite serious kicks especially over the last few days so I'll call my midwife and ask if I can get checked over.
Hope everything is okay with you and your baby OP. X

How did it go @Elkalv?

Elkalv · 15/07/2017 00:36

Oh well doc just said babies are different some move more some less, he checked heartbeat and growth of the baby. But tbh I am mildly annoyed with his general attitude of brushing off any worries I got.

And what about you inspiredbutohsotored?

That's rubbish. It's true all babies are different but he shouldn't brush off your worries like that. Some doctors don't seem to take concerns seriously Sad I'd ring 111 if you have it in your area and they might do what they did for me last time and put you through to your local midwife unit who will check you over, mine were lovely.

This time round things are actually feeling okay so I'm going to wait until my appointment on Monday and she'll check me with a doppler then. Im thinking baby has gone back to back though as my stomach feels really weird. X
