I'm 10 weeks with DC2 Smile

Had all day nausea from about 5/6 weeks but not too bad. Today for some reason I feel in very real danger of vomiting at any moment, moving makes it worse so not really made it out of bed apart from dragging myself up to sort the toddler and do his breakfast. My mum is staying and getting suspicious why I'm not up and about as usual (not told her yet). I need to get on with my day, not at work today (thankfully!) but have housework and toddler needs new shoes, shopping etc.
How can I get on without puking?? Will I feel better if I just make myself sick?

What have you eaten? I find some dry toast or crackers helps a bit but tbh I mostly just have to grit my teeth and get through it. It's the worst. Also stay hydrated and make sure you're getting enough sleep. Two big common triggers.

I wouldn't recommend forcing yourself to be sick. Some people feel better when they're sick, others don't - but if you need to be sick, you will be naturally.

Thanks so much for the replies! I've kicked myself up the bum a bit and feel better for being showered and dressed! Decided against making myself sick, you're all right and it doesn't feel quite the same as actually needing to vomit. Also my stomach is pretty empty so not much point!

Managed some water and fruit juice, will try and force down some toast I'm sure it will help the thought of chewing is making me feel sick for some reason, ridiculous!

It's all for a good cause though so mustn't complain Smile

Sounds insane but eating actually helped me s too feeling sick. It goes against your instincts, last thing I wanted was to eat anything but when I started feeling ill I'd force myself to eat a cereal bar. It's the only thing I could stomach. It helped. I got really bad sickness at the beginning so I made sure I always had cereal bars on me and are them throughout the day, and made sure I never felt hungry as that's when I'd start spewing. Maybe try regularly eating small things through the day.
