Only about two and a half weeks to go and I'm wondering if there are any signs I should be looking out for?

Going to the loo lots. 3 times in 10 minutes then waters broke on the loo.

DoubleHelix79 · 12/07/2017 10:47

The first sign I had was my waters breaking on the way out of the office on my last day of work Grin

with DS1 waters broke without warning, then bled and period like cramps going stronger, loose bowels. DD1 small amount of jelly in knickers which found out was mucus plug, then cramps that felt like a stitch. Was surprised I was actually in labour with that one as it was quite painless, just discomfort, but had to have my planned c section earlier x

My waters broke as soon as I got into bed at night with both of mine but I remember feeling more tired and more irritable during the day though

No warning, not even in hindsight. Contractions started, waters broke and plug went all within a few hours of each other.

BentleyBelly · 12/07/2017 11:54

Contractions, very mild at first, felt like when you have an upset tummy cramps to start with.

Orangebird69 · 12/07/2017 11:59

Waters broke in the middle of the night, waking me up. Mild cramping started whilst talking to the maternity unit. Ds was born 12 hours later.

Mumoftheark · 12/07/2017 20:34

I didn't have any signs with either of my children.

With my first my waters just broke at 34 + 5 weeks which was scary.
With my daughter I just started getting contractions and she was born 1 hour and 13 mins later lol

My waters broke on the labour bed all three times. So the only signs I had were contractions starting very mild, like an upset tummy as a poster above said. I started to realise the 'cramps' were coming at regular intervals then they just built up from there.

DC1 waters broke dramatically in bed, like you see in movies.

DC2 braxton hicks coming strongly and more regularly the day before labour and feeling different somehow. I had a sense I was closer to labour starting. Then I had decent contractions and the show the next day and realised I was in early labour.

DramaAlpaca · 13/07/2017 00:30

With DC1 mild contractions started during the night, I lost my plug in the morning, then contractions started ramping up throughout the day. Similar story with DC2 & DC3. With all three DC my waters didn't go until just before the baby was delivered.

I've got 2 weeks and 2 days to go and been having some different niggles since Monday on and off. Today I've got this 'pinching' type feeling above my groin either side. I last had this in 1st trimester when things were starting to grow quite rapidly so not sure if it's my body getting ready!

silkpyjamasallday · 13/07/2017 19:20

None whatsoever and I felt confident we could move into our new house before baby arrived, as it was we were in two days after, ended up rather regretted the sex ban I imposed from 36 weeks to avoid going into labour. I woke up with contractions in the early hours, waters only broke when I was in hospital in the evening at 8cm dilated.

3weekstogonow · 13/07/2017 19:37

@BrollyDolly I've got 2 weeks 4 days to go and I've been having sort of stretching, stabbing pains low down on my left and right, I'm hoping that's what it is too!
