Period type pain 32 weeks

I'm 32 weeks today and for the past few evenings I've had period type pain in my pelvic area and lower back. I struggle to get comfortable with them or fall asleep but when I wake up in the morning they are gone so I thought it was just because of being on my feet all day etc.

Today the pains are still there though which has me a little worried. Also a new thing today is my thighs are really crampy, achy and uncomfortable. This was one of my first symptoms of labour with ds along with back ache but at the time I put it down to prostin pains as I was induced with the pessary.

Has anyone else experienced similar? Feel a little silly worrying but I don't remember this from my last pregnancy. I've left a message with the midwife but it can be up to 2 working days for them to call back. If it's urgent I can ring the hospital but I don't feel it's at that point. There's no pattern as the pain is constant and I can still go about my day so it's not that bad. Baby is very active too so no worries there thankfully!

I'd really not worry about any aches and pains, it's so normal and the number of times I wondered if I was going into labour with my second (must have had similar symptoms with my first but didn't know what they were) and she was still a week late.
All good signs that things are stretching out and baby moving into position etc but I wouldn't worry about it. You'll know when you're in full blown labour and you may have weeks of false alarms now so try to just put it out of your mind.
Only thing to keep an eye on is baby movements, but false labour pains are very normal.

Thank you, that's very reassuring! Luckily I've got a demanding toddler to keep me occupied Grin

I know the feeling! I forgot to mention I'm 31 weeks with number 3 and feeling it running after 2! I promised myself I wouldn't over think every niggle this time but I know it's hard not to!

If it's really worrying you, just ring your maternity unit, they can advise and it'll put your mind at ease, they don't mind you ringing! (:
