"Showing" with first DC

I am 14 weeks, a bit plump (BMI 29) and 5'2". I've lost 14lb in weight since pregnancy due to severe morning sickness. Even if I gently palpate my lower abdomen, I cannot feel a thing! I was 50th percentile at 12 week scan.
When did people start to show with their first? I know people show earlier with 2nd babies...🌺🌹🌷

I was showing around 18 weeks with my first. I'm 14 +3 and have had a lot of comments today at work about mg 'bump.' (I have been off for a while) But everyone is so different. I look more pregnant now than my friend did at the end of her pregnancy x

I had a slight bump at about 18-19 weeks, but only in tight clothes. Probably could have hidden it til 25 weeks.

I didn't properly show until about 26 weeks. I could palpate the top of my uterus before then but didn't have an obvious bump.

I didn't start showing while about 25 weeks with my 1st. Don't worry, you will wish you weren't showing by the end of it

I had someone correctly deduce I am pregnant yesterday from looking at me. If I wear empire line dresses it seems to be more visible that my usual jeans and top. Im surprised to be showing (albeit very slightly) at this point as it's my first baby. Mind you my posture is a bit sticky out tummy so that might have something to do with it. I'm mid way through my 14th week.. my bmi is at the top end of 'healthy' and I've put on about 7lb since I conceived. I hope you feel better now! That sounds pretty hideous morning sickness wise.

I didn't till 5/6 months. I'm tall also, and I think having a longer body stops it showing so much.

@reetgood yes, I have hyperemesis. Have thrown up everyday for 8 weeks. Some days 30 times a day, some days 3 times a day. Often in public (if I can make it out the house)

Ugh @thingymaboob that sounds pretty hideous. My sympathies.

@orangebird69 I'm fairly tall - 5"8 but it seems that's not really affecting me. Reckon it's my posture!

I started showing a small bump at 32 weeks. I had severe HG too (lost 1.5 stone during pregnancy) and wore my usual clothes the whole way through. HG is horrible

I'm getting towards 10 weeks and I honestly look like I am further along! Pretty sure it's bloat but apparently is passing well as a bump .

I'm 17+5 and I have a very noticeable bump! Nothing fits me anymore! I think I'm going to get a 'B' belly as I am a little overweight but seem to only carry it in my tummy . Not the perfect round belly you hope for but sod it, it's there and it's lovely! My sis didn't even look pregnant until at least 26 weeks. I may ask them to triple check again at the scan that there definitely aren't 2 hiding in there!!

Also..it's my first so I definitely didn't expect to show so soon.

26 or so weeks. Am now 32 weeks and there's no longer any doubt!

I was well over 20 weeks when I started showing. I was already wearing maternity jeans by then, but apparently it wasn't really noticeable, though it was definitely for me (I couldn't fit in my trousers anymore from about 11 weeks).

Even in tight dresses people thought my stomach was always like that

I'm 16 weeks now and can't really get into my jeans or normal clothes anymore but I wouldn't say I'm 'showing' either!

I'm tall and unfortunately I just tend to look like I'm getting fat for 20-25 weeks. With first pregnancy it wasn't super obvious until 25 weeks, I'm 19 weeks now and still depending on what I wear people say they can't tell.

I'm only 5 foot 4 and was very slim before I got pregnant. With my first I didn't show til around 7 months at least then got a huge bump all of a sudden. Everyone is different tbh so there's not much point in comparing. I don't mean that rudely, just that there's no real answer
