10 week scan...a little worried

Hello all. This is probably nothing at all, but I seem to be going pfb paranoia before pfb is even here!

I had a scan at the FMC as part of the early harmony package. Seeing and hearing everything was great. But now I'm looking at other 10 week scans (thanks Google) and a bit worried none of them look like mine.

What strikes me about mine is there is a very clear gap at the back of the head going all the way into the neck area. Other 10 week scans seem to show baby's head being more rounded. Also there's another black line 'gap' a little further up, again going into the neck area.

Hopefully someone else's scan looked the same and you can reassure me!

Both of my children took horrible photos in the womb. One looked like the Scream painting, the other like a skittle. They are better now that they are born. Don't worry, they are tiny at 10 weeks and scan photos vary hugely. The FMC is great, from what I have heard so you are in good hands.

Please don't worry, the scan isn't a picture, it's wiggly lines picked up at that specific moment! My baby's scan looked like she had a huge nose....she was born with a beautiful ickle nose hehe.

Ps we went through the CVS at the FMC so also know how worrying extra tests are.....

Thanks everyone, see deep down I know it's just me being weird about it! But this has come after a long wait, an ectopic and endo surgery so every twinge or tweak these days has me reaching for doctor google.

Not weird - it's a stressful time. Step away from dr google though. No good comes of it.

Early scans showed my dd had chicken drumsticks for arms. She does not have chicken drumsticks for arms.
They would presumably have told you if something looked odd.

This is why the anomaly scan is done around 20 weeks because at the moment you are looking at a (beautiful) collection of cells.

Stop worrying.

I had a scan at 9wk 6days with my first, it looked identical to this (I'd take a pik of my scan but it's in a memory box in the kids rooms)... anyway, to reassure you I now have a almost 4 year old x

The pictures look completely different depending on the ultrasound machine used. I have pictures of the same fetus within a week that look completely different.

OP we had our scans at the same place on the same date Your pics look perfect.

I've just had my 12 week scan, baby looks as if it has two noses. I'm fairly certain hoping it does not have two noses. I'm sure yours is fine OP
