Early pregnancy spotting

Have many of you ladies had/have this? I'm 7 weeks pregnant and have been brown spotting this week. I had a heavy bleed a week ago today, I've since had 2 scans with both showing a heartbeat so thank goodness all is ok at the moment. I'm not sure if the spotting is the tail end of the bleed, irritation from the internal scans or something else. I'm in such a panic as I miscarried earlier this year and I know spotting can be a sign of one. I don't have another scan for nearly 3 weeks now.

Hi there. I had red bleeding at 7+2 and had a scan the next day which showed everything to be fine. But now I'm 8 weeks I'm getting brown spotting. It's old blood apparently and only red blood is something to be concerned of.

Go and see your midwife or call the EPU as soon as you can - best be over cautious x

Thank you so much for your replies. I called the EPU and they basically said the same, brown blood means old blood so it's probably the rest of my bleed coming out. I need to try and not worry so much!
