Anyone else hating this heat??

I'm 32 weeks and I cannot bear it. I am so hot and uncomfortable and I can't do anything. I seem to be living in one of the hottest parts of the country. My 19 month old is driving me round the bend as well. She's bored but I'm just too flipping hot to do anything with her and so she's playing up and being a menace.

Just wondering if anyone else is feeling the same or if I'm overreacting and I'm some heat sensitive weirdo?!

No I'm 36 weeks and literally melting. It's 31 degrees in our flat at the moment and our fan is just blowing hot air 😩

Kittysparks1 · 06/07/2017 15:42

Nah your not alone I'm struggling to cope. Luckily not at work so for the last 2 days I've been naked. I literally just done the washing up and now I'm laying on my bed sweating one out as if I've done an hours cardio.
Could not imagine having a toddler to contend with as well. Feel for you.

Kittysparks1 · 06/07/2017 15:45

I made my partner take me to the supermarket when he got home last night. We didn't need anything. He clicked why I wanted to go after I spent 10 minutes looking at butter. The chilled section is cooler than the frozen section in my local.

CrowOnTheBroom · 06/07/2017 15:46

Goodness me yes! I'm 38 wks and beside myself. My feet are disgustingly swollen and I'm coming to terms with the fact that I've probably had my last full night's sleep for a year. I just want the baby to arrive now!

chelle85 · 06/07/2017 16:12

Haha Kittysparks. I went to Iceland for that exact reason. Don't shop in there but it is nearest place that is full of fridges and freezers!

Sparklyuggs · 06/07/2017 16:16

Yup, it's 27c where I am and I keep hiding in the dining room as it's the coolest room in the house with a fan and ice lollies Grin

fanlight79 · 06/07/2017 16:47

Couldn't agree with you more! 37 weeks with twins and fervently wishing summer over already. Managed to take the toddler to visit the air con at soft play - I wanted to move in but couldn't persuade her to spend more than 3 hours there😖

littlepooch · 06/07/2017 17:43

I am.counting down until DD hopefully goes to bed and i can have a cold shower and just lie on our bed with the fan pointing at me.

I am so grateful to be pregnant but god it's hard work in this weather. Hats of to those of you further along than me, I'm praying this weather doesn't continue into August and the very last couple of weeks of my pregnancy!!!

Shoot me now 😩 I don't know what to do with myself!

rhodes2015 · 06/07/2017 18:05

Me! I'm 40+2 with my first, obviously on maternity leave so feel for you ladies who are still working or have other kids to run round after.
I've been sat on sofa all day, patio doors wide open in bra and pants. Hopefully neighbours don't look over the fence or they are in for a nasty shock!

londonloves · 06/07/2017 18:06

We just moved house so the cat is under house afresh and I can't open doors/windows or he will escape. I might die soon though.

londonloves · 06/07/2017 18:07

*house arrest

glasshalfsomething · 06/07/2017 18:27

Hate to say it, but I'm 38+4 and quite enjoying it. Our garden furniture is by far the comfiest right now so I'm spending a lot of time lying outdoors (sometimes sun, sometimes shade).

I figure some colour on my face will help hide the massive sleep-deprived eye bags that will no doubt arrive at same time as baby.

sprite25 · 06/07/2017 18:34

I'm right there with you, I'm 28 weeks and just feel like a huge sweaty waddling mess. I just want to sit in front of a fan and not move. Sorry if TMI but I'm going through at least two pairs of pants a day due to extreme butt crack sweating Grin

Callamia · 06/07/2017 18:38

36 weeks, feet and fingers swollen up. I'm blaming the fact that I've spent the day at a workshop in central London, and spent all day on my feet. Ugh.

WhatwouldRuthdo · 06/07/2017 18:39

I might not hate it so much if it wasn't for public transport. The tube in particular. 32 weeks and (unreasonably) cursing my pregnancy timing.

Kittysparks1 · 06/07/2017 20:07

Sprite hahahahha I feel ya, thought I had pissed myself earlier

NinaMarieP · 06/07/2017 20:31

Really glad to be in Scotland where it has been cool and rainy the past few weeks!

We did have a heatwave just before that though and I had tennis ball ankles every time I dared spend more than five minutes on my feet.

I do not envy those of you in warmer parts of the UK.

anchor9 · 06/07/2017 20:49

just wait til the baby arrives and wants to cling to you all day liking nothing more than to fall asleep wrapped around you with his sticky little face buried in your boob 😥

bless his heart but really now mama is hot

NinaMarieP · 06/07/2017 21:27

I'm praying for a wash out of a summer even more now, Anchor!

yolkybokey · 06/07/2017 21:37

I doubt I would have survived work this past few weeks if it wasn't for the fact that the Overground has air-con, that's been heaven.

34 weeks and eating enough ice cream for a family of 4 Blush

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 06/07/2017 21:50

I'm 22 weeks with number three and have two under 4s going mental.
They aren't sleeping through the night then are exhausted and cranky by 2.30pm. They then sleep until 5.30 pm. Upon waking they are hideous and starving.
They're currently running amok in the lounge arguing over wooden railway sets and cadburys buttons, son is got the most rolling stock, daughter is winning the chocolate war. Last night it was 11pm before we even got them upstairs and I had to sleep with the eldest who had seen something about scarecrows and was suffering some form of night terrors as a result.

My head is pounding, I want a shower and have horrific heartburn.

Am seriously considering sleeping in the garage tonight

2bluestars · 06/07/2017 22:02

I am lying in a cool bath and it's beautiful Grin
