Ok I'm 20 weeks today. Very small neat bump felt alot of movement around 18 weeks but lessened now. Peeing alot. Had a scan on Monday all fine baby measuring right size and looks healthy. However I'm struggling to believe there's anything in There!

Yes! I'm only 8+5 but I've booked in for a private scan on Saturday as I'm convinced it's just gonna be an empty sac Sad

Got a few symptoms -- nausea, being sick, bloated, heart burn , light headed and lower groin/leg pain.

But I just have a feeling :(

FluffyEwok · 05/07/2017 22:30

I was the same cat and everything seems to be ok. It's weird

Me Too!

I'm convinced the two tests I did, including a clearblue digital which clearly stated I was pregnant, are wrong.

I can't wait to progress a little, as I'm only 5 weeks, so I can relax and believe it a bit more. I honestly don't feel like I'm actually pregnant at the moment even though I have minor symptoms.

TreasureInMyTummy · 05/07/2017 23:49

Fluffy I know exactly what you mean! I'm 21 weeks on Friday and I have an anterior placenta so I have to concentrate really hard to feel a flutter and even then I'm not sure that's my baby.

Tried a Doppler but can't find heart beat ( I'm assuming because of placenta)

Going to the toilet a lot is only really sign I have but I pee a lot anyway with all the water I drink.

I had my scan two weeks ago and baby was in there and seemed happy but I just want to feel some kicks to get some reassurance. I've read could be a few weeks yet before I feel kicks and I have a mixture of hope and worry that everything is ok

Scaredycat2016 · 06/07/2017 07:22

That was me ☺ despite 10 positive tests, where most people have their first scan and coo and stuff (apparently) when the baby flashed up on the screen my exact reaction was "OH MY F-ING GOD THERE'S SOMETHING THERE". I've since spent my entire pregnancy in denial that I'm actually having a baby. I'm now 36 weeks and I think it dawned on me about a week ago that in fact I will be having a baby...and soon lol xx

Monkeypuzzle32 · 06/07/2017 07:24

Yes! I'm 16 weeks and although there's a bump (under a layer of podge!) I worry that it's stopped growing or died in there and I wouldn't know!

FirsttimemumJan18 · 06/07/2017 08:20

I'm 13 Weeks tomorrow and have my '12 week scan' on Monday. I don't 'feel' pregnant and am not really showing at all. This is my first child after a long IVF journey so I'm cautiously optimistic...I hope all is well in there!🙏🏻👶x

guigirl14 · 06/07/2017 08:36

Agree with scaredycat, totally remember feeling like that for weeks! So odd! Then third trimester really kicks in and the weight of your bump / inability to sleep in this heat remind you on a minute to minute basis that they are in fact there Smile

AdorableMisfit · 06/07/2017 08:48

Me too! I'm 11+1 and don't have my 12 week scan until 12+6, so almost two weeks away and I've managed to convince myself I'll get there and they'll say it's died. :( I've had two miscarriages before and due to spotting I had an early scan at 7+2 this time when everything looked fine, but I keep thinking it's all gone wrong since then. I don't really have any symptoms either (except slightly tender boobs and weird dreams) so I'm worrying that is a bad sign. But then I didn't have any symptoms with my DD either, and she's a healthy 7 year old now! This is such a worrying and stressful time. I feel I can't enjoy being pregnant or get excited because I feel so sure it's just a matter of time before I get bad news...

DeadDoorpost · 06/07/2017 11:50

Had my 20 week scan today and all was well after me breaking down last night thinking it has died. I had no reason to believe it had but there we go.
I still don't feel attached to him yet. I even said it felt odd looking at the scan while it was happening. And that it was like watching an odd Tim Burton movie.
I do have an anterior placenta though so baby movements are minimal if at all so I think that's why I don't feel pregnant. except the swollen feet and growing belly kinda remind me I am

TonicAndTonic · 06/07/2017 12:01

Yes! Currently 10+4 and tired but no other symptoms really. Finding it hard to believe there's really a little bean in there! 1st pregnancy so nothing to compare it to. Scan is booked for 12+1 so have to wait a bit longer - keep reading so many mmc stories on here and worrying that at the scan they'll say it died weeks ago Sad. DP is really anti the idea of a private scan as he says it won't make any difference to the outcome.

DebsOctBaby · 06/07/2017 14:00

I felt exactly the same during the early weeks, never suffered anxiety like it before and it was quite terrifying. Even after a scan, an hour later I was convinced that there was something wrong!

I'm now nearly 25 weeks and feel my little one a lot (including some painful rib kicks!) which does help settle me down.

It does get easier, stick with it! Time soon flies.

However please please get rid of any dopplers, they are just terrible and took my trained midwife ages to find a heartbeat at 20 weeks so a cheaper version at home with our untrained hands cab just cause more anxiety!

GingerHanna · 06/07/2017 14:47

Haha! Glad it's not just me... 21 weeks Friday, had my 20 week scan last night but still don't feel pregnant.

Placenta is at the back but there's a bloody great tumour at the top of my uterus pushing LO down so I only feel occasional light kicks low down. Today no real clear ones but maybe a few lights - or just muscle twitches...

I have a feeling I might be light ScaredyCat and suddenly 'get it' at 36 weeks!

owltrousers · 06/07/2017 15:27

Yes! despite a great 12 week scan at 11+3 I just forget I'm pregnant sometimes. I have minimal symptoms (some say lucky) but I am beginning to show a little bit now I'm 13 weeks. Well, 13 weeks tomorrow same as @FirsttimemumJan18 :) we must have matching due dates!

reetgood · 06/07/2017 16:11

I'm 14 weeks and barely showing. At 12 week scan my main concern was 'is there a baby'. My response was 'thank god' after the first thing she said was there's a baby. I'm not terribly anxious but I also struggle with connecting the idea of me being pregnant with there being a baby. I'm planning to find out the sex as im hoping that will help me connect with the idea of potential real human instead of abstract concept. I'm probably also feeling cautious at getting attached to the concept of my child when I still don't quite believe it's 'safe' to do so. It probably doesn't help that now first trimester is over, I keep forgetting I'm pregnant...

laurzj82 · 06/07/2017 16:22

I'm not pregnant but I remember this feeling well...Probably the whole way through. I was convinced something was wrong. DD is now 3! Smile

Congratulations to you all x

sofreakingtired · 06/07/2017 16:34

I was exactly the same ladies - until they handed me my baby when I'd just given birth to her. I was absolutely shocked that I'd actually had a baby. I was speechless! Sounds stupid but honestly, even in labour I don't think I'd properly clicked that there was really a baby in there...

MummaThree · 06/07/2017 16:48

I thought I was the only one!! I'm 18+5 and can feel small movements, still quite mild but I haven't even got my head round the fact that I'm actually having another baby yet. Maybe all of a sudden I'll have a baby in my arms and think 'where the hell have I been all this time!' 😂

bumblingabout · 06/07/2017 18:37

Oh I am so pleased I'm not the only one! I've got an anterior placenta too and 1st child currently 19 weeks and felt tiny questionable flutters before but not so much now! The small things I've felt recently I'm wondering if it was the baby or just gas! I didn't realise how worrying pregnancy can be.. :(

crispsahoy · 06/07/2017 18:41

I was convinced with dc3 that would be nothing there at 12, 20 & 28 week scans. Despite a very large bump and felt movements from 20 weeks. I was even told his sex and that he was a big lad but still struggled to believe it.

Was fine with dc1&2
