Early days for me still, I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow which is the furthest along I've been before so wasn't prepared for the tiredness I'd feel. I mean the baby is still the size of a jelly bean so how is it knocking me like this??

Currently on my bed after 9 hours sleep and just can't move to get to work! I've got ready and am dressed but getting up again and actually driving for 30 minutes to then be on form for 9 hours seems to be beyond me. Currently I'll be late for work even if I leave this second so it's not going well for me so the late anxiety is kicking in and making me feel more like staying put and ignoring everything in exchange for another 2 hours of sleep.

Please tell me I'm not alone in this and I'm not just really really lazy as I'm suspecting I am....

I remember this well. Around the same time 9/10 weeks. I was tired to my bones. I couldn't get up etc. You'll battle through because you have to! I fell asleep in meetings Confused

Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy. This is all normal and I think at this stage you're growing the placenta? So you're growing an organ! Will make you tired. This is practice for a newborn and pretty much how you'll feel then (but then you'll have a beautiful bundle to make things more bearable!)

Ah thank you! Makes me feel a lot better! And falling asleep in meetings is something I've nearly done a couple of times... I had to tell my boss the reason quite early on.

I left my keys in the car overnight earlier in the week with the radio blaring, only noticed the next morning when I couldn't find them anywhere and went to check. If baby brain is really a thing I think it's begun.

Tiredness doesn't even come close to describing the utter exhaustion in early pregnancy. It's like my limbs were made of lead. Hang in there, take a sick day kg you can? It should lift a bit as you approach 12 weeks but for now, loads of boring early nights. Smile

And congratulations!

I'm 8+2 and I had a day like that two weeks ago, ended up pulling a sicky - first one ever so I didn't feel too bad about it. Was glad I did at the time as I got some much needed sleep but kinda wish I'd saved it for some of the worse nausea days I've had since. I still find myself closing my eyes for a little too long at work around 3pm and head-nodding, it sucks! Wish I could have a strong cup of coffee to get me through it.

Chin up, they say this all gets a bit better next month x
