Do second babies follow a similar pattern of gestation?

I had my first baby at 39+4 and am due baby number 2 in a few months

Intrigued to know if I can expect to go into labour before my due date again? Is that what usually happens if your first one is born before their due date?

Would love to hear how long other people's pregnancies lasted, or any professional opinions!

Hi... I have 3 DC, DD1 came at 41+4, DS2 came at 38+4 and DS3 came at 40+1. So not in our case!

Oh I'm interested to know too! My first was early and wondering when number 2 might appear!

1st was two weeks overdue
2nd was two days overdue

Mine did: 40+5 and 40+4, but I don't know many other people whose babies did.

Labour started with my first on his due date. DS2 was a full 14 days overdue and had to be induced! I really did not expect that!

1st: 10 days early
2nd: 15 days late

1st induced at 38+6 due to hypertension.
2nd 10 days overdue.
I suppose it depends on how the pregnancies differ.
I was worried how it would feel to go into labour and drive to hospital with number 2 as I'd not experienced it with number 1.

I really don't think there's a pattern, unfortunately. But mine were both born at 39+6 (both on a Tuesday, both at 10.45 )

DC1 40+6
DC2 40+6

So in my case, yes

Mine were 40 exactly and 39+6. My DM had all of her 3 dc between 10 and 12 days late. So I think that based on this entirely anecdotal evidence that women have similar gestational times for their babies in many cases!

Mine were 37+0 (just after midnight) and 37-0 (just before midnight).

DS1 - 39 + 5;
DS2 - 36 + 5.

I didn't even have my bag packed for DS2.

Mine did -

1= 40+14
2= 40+12
3= 40 +13

Mine did follow a pattern then dc6 decided to be different.
Ds1 was 37+5
ds2 was 36+5
dd1 was 39+5
Ds3 was 32+5
dd2 was 37+5
Ds4 was 37+0
Currently pregnant with dd3 and 37+3 today and wondering which dc she will follow.

My first came at 42 weeks (induced). My second came at 36 weeks, was so surprised. Was convinced I would go overdue again!

Mine seemed to, they were both prem. 1st was 30+4 and 2nd was 33 weeks, no obvious reasons why x

No dc of my own yet but my friends 2 babies were both 6 weeks early.

DD1 was 41w, DD2 was 39w+2
First was over 40 hours of labour and forceps, second was 5 hours and out on 2nd push. They were chalk and cheese deliveries!

Baby 1 - 24 weeks
Baby 2 - 40+2
Baby 3 - 37+2

DS1 5 days early
DS2 5 days late
DS3 5 days early

No 27+6, then 39+6

Both of mine came exactly 5 days early x

DC1- due date
DC2- 41+1
DC3- 36+6
DC4- 39 weeks

I only have one, but my mum had me at 41 weeks and my younger DB at 38 weeks.

I hope not! DS1 came at 27+2, I'm currently 27+3 with DS2...
