Did I get my surge? Ovulation opk

I posted this question somewhere else and had some disheartening answers. So thought I would come here for a 2nd opinion.
I've been doing ovulation tests over the past 5days leading up to my 'predicted' ovulation. Two of the test lines became quite dark but not as dark as the control line and now they are very faint. Does that mean I ovulated or does the test line need to be as dark or darker than the control line? Thanks in advance ladies

bodicon when I was trying to conceive over 10 months I NEVER got a test line that was as strong as the control and bloods confirmed that I was definitely ov and am now 39+5. The clear blue ov kit even missed my "peak". Keep going, you'll get there x

Bodicon123, I used the same strips to follow my surge. I did not find them useful at all, they all made me more confused and stressed.

If I remember correctly the test line is supposed to be darker than the control. They naturally fade over time, so you cannot rely too much on old ones.

I received a medium line (not darker than control therefore not a positive) around the time of my calculated ovulation date. I conceived despite the test showing I did not have a surge. So I dont know how reliably you can take it. If you're usually quite regular than chances are your calculated O day is accurate. Aim to BD around then. Good luck and try not to stress or over plan, that never helps.

Thanks Hun. I know I shouldn't but we've been trying since Jan 2016 after a miscarriage and I'm approaching 34 this year so time is not on my side. But at the same time I know that stressing about it won't help matters. Am just sick n tired of seeing negatives every damn month. Ttc is so physically, mentally and emotionally draining. In the mean time everyone we know is pregnant or had a baby.

How are you getting on bodicon. I felt the same even though I was trying for 10 months, it can be all consuming. Two of my good friends I met on here were trying for around 13 and 17 months and are both still pregnant now. X

Hey, actually I've had very sore tingly beasts since 3days dpo and my test has stayed up high. I'm now 9 days dpo and I know I should wait a little longer but I've order the 5mlU test from amazon which apparently can dectect from 8 days dpo. I always get like this during the waiting phase looking for very little symptom and over analysing it so much so that that my body is now starting to show phantom symptoms.

Don't worry, we've all been there with symptom spotting! Other than feeling a bit light headed (once!) and one sore boob on bending over (once!) I had no other symptoms. When are you testing? X

Bodicon123 · 11/07/2017 13:15

I tested on Sunday and got a negative smh. I was pretty upset about it as I really thought that this was my month. Took me a few days to get over it, move on and start planning for next months window. I'm starting to think it my cm that needs improving on. I'm just trying to cover every angel at the moment so I just ordered fertile cm and fertile aid supplements on amazon as I've seen some really good reviews on them. I'm so determined to see my BFP and I will stop at nothing until I get it. TTC is such an emotional rollercoaster but you've just gotta pick ur self up remain positive and keep going 👊✊️👶
