Hi everyone, I'm new here and was just asking for some advice please.

I've been having some pregnancy symptoms such as bloating, breast tenderness, nausea, mild cramping and extreme tiredness.

I'm now a week late for my period which i can honestly say has never happened to me since my periods first started.
I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive so i booked an appointment with my GP. When i went to my appointment she did another test and it came out negative. understandably i was a bit devastated since by that point I'd had 4 days to come to terms with it. The doctor still gave my loads of information about what to do when pregnant but still went on to tell me it could all be to do with my cycle.
I walked out of the office feeling really down about it, my excitement had gone, she even said they'd be no point in doing a blood test to confirm the pregnancy. I don't know if something like this has happened to anyone else. I've got another appointment with the GP in a couple of weeks to check again.

This would be my husband and I's first child so naturally i told him and he's very excited now too. I'm so new to pregnancy and what to do.

I'd love to hear anyones opinion. Smile

What brand of test did you use? Dr ones aren't that sensitive so may have been too early to show a positive. Sounds like an unsympathetic consultation you had tbh. . If your period is still a no show after a week take another test and take it to the Dr!
