As you can tell, I am extremely anxious about this. The bleeding is light and I'm not in any pain, I'm going to call the doctor tommorow morning.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them and still been alright? I just need some reassurance!

Hi - not happenned to me but I have heard of many people who have bled and it's been fine. It's far more common than we are led to believe.

Fingers crossed for you xx

Yes, it happened to me and it can be quite normal and nothing at all to worry about. You will get plenty of replies saying it's quite common.

Ring your doctor in the morning, he will probably want to refer you to an epu and they may give you an early scan.

I bled whilst I was pg with dd2 (she's now nearly 3) my friend bled regularly with her dd (who's now 6) and you hear of women who don't know they are pregnant coz they carried on having periods all the way through!

Get it sorted tomorrow, but in the meantime, if there is no pain or other symptoms, don't worry.

I have had a couple of days of bleeding ( several days apart ) and went for a scan yesturday, everything was fine and we could see the heartbeat. I am 8 days +3. It does seem to be common and lots of people on here will tell you they have experienced it and gone onto have healthy babies. Good luck and congratualations

Of course you're going to feel worried, but hopefully we've put your mind at rest a bit and you'll sleep tonight.

Keep bumping this, because there will be lots of good advice. It's an awkward time at the moment.

Yes, this happened to me. Started around week 6 and lasted for nearly 3 weeks. They weren't able to tell me what caused it, just that it's very common. I did got to the EPU when it first started for a scan though just to know whether the baby was ok of course. You always need to get spotting or bleeding checked out but it doesn't mean it's necessarily anything bad and it happens to a large number of women who still continue on to have a normal pregnancy and healthy baby. If you experience cramping or pain that is more of a concern but I actually had that as well (it was very stressful of course) b/c I was crampy for nearly the first two months of my pregnancy so it was hard to know if it was related to the bleeding at the time. Thankfully, the bleeding did stop with me and everything's been fine so far, I'm coming up to 20 weeks now. Good luck with your scan and try not to worry
