Hi all.
I am 14+3 weeks pregnant - been for my scan and all was fine, seen baby and all ok so far. But literally since I've been 14 weeks I have been having shooting pains up from my vagina, pelvic area into my belly.. they are not painful but feel like a bit of a shocking sensation that makes me gasp for a second and then i Carry on as normal. Has anyone else had this..?

Yes, I get this!

Its quite shocking when it happens but lasts literally 2-3 seconds. Would also like to know what this is. I'm 12+1.

I had them! My midwife said it was just stretching pains. x

I've had this on and off since I was about 9 weeks pregnant :) I'm 19+5 and having a few right now. My midwife said that one of her patients called it "lightning crotch". I get the same pains up my bum sometimes (sorry if TMI). All fine.

Me too! 15 + 2 and just posted in my antenatal thread about the exact same thing. Mine is in my right sided groin area. My bump has suddenly developed over the last couple if weeks so suspected it had something to do with growing & stretching!!

It's so hard to know what's normal so glad to hear others have experienced this and is harmless Smile

Sounds like round ligament pain. Just things moving and stretching as about now your womb is moving out from behind your pelvis. With me it was like a really intense pain for 20-30 seconds a couple of times a day, it was very scary being woken up by this pain at 2am but was nothing to worry about. A hot water bottle or a warm bath can help. Obviously call your midwife or GP if you feel like something isn't right or its happening a lot or is very painful.
