Hi all, I'm currently 14+3 weeks pregnant and am going on holiday abroad at the end of august.. just wondering if anyone has any idea of how big my bump will be at around this time I will be 22+ weeks.. i want to buy holiday Clothes but I'm really not sure what size to buy in anything expecially swim wear as I don't no what size I'm expecting my belly to be as this is my first pregnancy.. I am pretty slim and 5'7.. I currently have a very small "bump" but I wouldn't really call it a bump just looks like a bit of a podge. I still fit into my size 10 Chlothes on top, and just wearing leggings on bottoms for comfort. Should I buy size 10 maternity wear or bigger..? Advice would be great!

I'm the same measurements as you and went on holiday at 22 weeks in my last pregnancy. I was fully in maternity clothes by that point although loose cotton tops and dresses still did fit. If you're normally a size 10 then size 10 maternity clothes is what you need.

Thank you that's really helpful. X

I didn't get a bump at all until around 28 weeks so you might be ok with your normal sizes

I'd stick with size 10 maternity clothes so, 12 only if it's something you specifically want to be roomy or if you've a large chest etc. I'm 20 weeks with #2, same height as you, and I'm in size 12 which I was beforehand. I don't have much of a bump yet, have a maternity top on today and my mum said you wouldn't even know I was pregnant because it's slightly floaty.

I was wearing a 12 at my 20 week scan with dc1 & normally a 10.

As its your 1st baby & from how you describe yourself i would say possibly 1 size bigger.

Lots of elastic, comfy type clothes.

Its really difficult to guess & would wait as long as possible to go clothes shopping.

Good luck.

I am 23 weeks OP and i was a 10 now wearing a 14... however I am not wearing Maternity clothes only normal ones

Hope that helps!

I didn't really show until 24 weeks and wore my normal non-maternity swimwear while on holiday at 27-28 weeks. I wore the same tankini for a spa day at 32 weeks.

I wouldn't bother wasting money on that much holiday stuff. I barely wore any maternity clothes while on holiday with the exception of a few maternity vests - and this was at 27/28 weeks. I wore a lot of elasticated hareem style trousers which I already owned.

Thinking about it I'm 36 weeks now and currently sporting a pair of joggers and longline vest - neither of which are maternity and both are my normal size!!!

I am the same size as you and most people didn't realise I was pregnant at 22 weeks, although I most definitely couldn't fit in my normal clothes. If you are going somewhere warm, get some stretchy maxi dresses in a size or two bigger than usual. I was able to wear these throughout my whole pregnancies.

I was 5ft7 size 8, slim and at 22 weeks I had next to no bump at all. The only maternity thing I bought were skinny black jeans that went over my bump. Everything else I wore as normal (leggings tops etc) didn't go a bigger size just got as normal. I wore mainly dresses so this was fine.

I went to a pool about 23 weeks and wore a normal bikini

Everybody is different! I had barely any bump on my first pregnancy til 7 months but subsequent pregnancies were bigger much earlier! My sister in law was the other way huge on her first and tiny on her next 2.
Maternity wear is your best bet and I always buy the same size as I am when not pregnant.

My 2nd is smaller than the first, 20 weeks and hardly a bump where as I'm sure I was definitely on display before. It also depends on the style and cut of clothing. Oddly all my size 10 shorts fit, yet my size 10 jeans haven't seen the light of day in months!
