Hey guys again .. I posted a couple of day ago . My wife has been having more intense pains since this morning every 5-6 minutes lasting 40 seconds long .

What does everyone think about taking castor oil and York to help speed things up ? The hospital said it's upto us to come in or not , we are glad we never went in 2 hours ago when we rang as we rather be at home as long as we can ...

No! At worst it will do harm, at best she will have diarrhoea

I did consider castor oil for the same reason but it sounds pretty awful and not very safe. How about sex?!

Crazycatlady83 · 30/06/2017 16:22

No no no - don't take castor oil, it will make give her d&v

PotteringAlong · 30/06/2017 16:23

Do not take castor oil. I had a stomach bug at 41 weeks pregnant and it was the most miserable I have ever been, including in labour. I cannot conceive why anyone would do that to themselves willingly.

She's in labour. Ultimately she will be much better off if you let nature run its course now:

I took castor oil at 40-something-weeks with my last pregnancy... It was a really bad idea! It just made me feel ill and didn't move things along at all.

Flowers for you and your wife - I saw your post the other day, you must both be exhausted! I hope it progresses soon for you. Keep strong Mrs.Jambo123, we're rooting for you!
