Hello! I've been having growth scans since about 28 weeks due to a previous large baby. I've had them every few weeks and they've always followed a steady growth line on the charts. In my last one yesterday (37 weeks) the baby had put on almost a kg in three weeks and the growth had shot up to the 95th centile and I seemed to have developed polyhydrominos.
My first was 10lb10 so we weren't expecticting a tiddler! I had some tests done there and then and my GTT came back normal. I'm still waiting for a 'TORCH' test for viral infections but I've been told they are unlikely. The consultant explained that it could just be the way my pregnancies are and it's perfectly normal for me.
I'm just wondering if anyone had any experience of this or how different sonographers can get different numbers? I've had the same sonographer for the last three and a different one yesterday; is there room for changes in the way they measure? I'm booked in for a section anyway but just curious as to why this big growth spurt has happened all of a sudden!
Thanks in adavance!
