I will be 22 weeks pregnant early next week and I'm not feeling any kicks yet....

I had a scan last week, so l know baby is fine but l keep getting asked!

When I lie down, the only sensation is my heart beating at 100 knots and sometimes when I'm feeling particularly bloated I do get 'popping' sensations inside.

Is this normal not to feel anything yet?

During your scan did they mention your placenta position? Have a read through your notes and check for anterior placenta positioning. Basically it means your placenta is acting as a cushion so you don't feel anything until bigger. Nothing to worry about at all :-)

They said my placenta was at the back (prosterior) Confused

I didn't feel mine until about a day before 22 weeks. I don't think midwives worry unless you haven't felt anything by 24 weeks. If this is your first baby, you often feel them later. Also the popping sensations could well be movement, it's just hard to recognise early. Don't panic yet Smile

I didn't feel anything until 23 weeks and not proper kicks until 28 weeks

I was around 24 weeks when I felt movement. He never really was that active. He's a very active 8 year old now though Grin

I hardly felt either of my DC move throughout my entire pregnancy. Once placenta was at the front and the other at the back but in terms of movement, it was the same i.e. not much at all.

I think the popping could be movement. Once you notice it it's hard not to notice. I my just felt ours move last couple of days (am 20+5)
