Awful PGP

Ugh. I'm 18 weeks and now have crutches. I'm in such agony. Only good thing is I'm a teacher and holidays start tomorrow so at least I won't be at work.

Taking co-codamol and wearing a support belt and getting acupuncture but it's just so sore. If you look at a diagram of where you might get pgp, I have it in every single possible place.

And I've still got 20 weeks to go.

Anyone else suffering?

I had the same with both mine i found ice packs a god sent anything cold to sooth the pain all I can say is just keep moving and wear the belt as often as you can I had the belt and crutches from 18weeks with DD and 15 weeks with DS and my bumps were huge it wasn't great but the end result is well worth the discomfort xx good luck

Oh and try not to take to much co-codamol as it makes issues with the toilet and that makes the pgp that lil bit more sore xx

Thanks...this is my fourth pregnancy and the third time I've had pgp... last time I got to 30 weeks before I needed crutches though.

I'm only taking cocodamol occasioanlly and mainly at night as it makes me woozy sometimes.

Wish I could fast forward 20weeks!

Keep your knees together, sleep with a pillow or more than one between your legs. Don't cross your legs. Don't hoover (this is my favourite one!!)

Hot water bottles are good for relieving the pain and baths help me too.

You can self refer to physio here who can give you exercises as well as re-align things which have slipped out of position.

Hope things settle for you x
