Hi everyone. Only just signed up to this because I feel like I'm going crazy with worry.

Not sure if I have signs of pregnancy or not and would like some advise.
I've been on the minipill for a while, however I kept forgetting to take it as my daily routine had changed. So as a result my periods were really up and down. I decided to just give myself a short break before starting up again.

However after my last period, I had sex with my boyfriend on 16th and 4 days later (tuesday 20th) had EWCM(which I've never ever had). The days following the EWCM, I felt like a dog in heat end had sex a further two times the same week.

Anyway, on sunday just gone I started with a pinching feeling near my ovaries. Which has been coming and going over the past 4 days. I've been a little off my food and last night I ended up with a horrific migraine so went to bed at 10pm.
My nipples have been kinda sensitive to the point I could feel my hand brush lightly past a petty thick padded bra and have had random shooting pains in my boobs since sunday.

These are all things I don't normally get when I'm close to menstruating so I ended up being a google queen. Still can't quite figure anything out in terms of positive and negative signs.

Although I did read about the cervix being higher so i figured I'd try and see today. I struggled to feel it and when I looked at my hand afterwards I had brown spots as well as cervical mucus on my hand. Apologies for being so graphic!

So I'm not sure if that's an early indicator to AF or to light spotting.

Wondering what signs you guys had and if this may seem like an early indicator?

Also when would be the ideal time to test?

Also to add, I've had quite a lot of gas since the pinching started too.

Hi @PazzyPaz, welcome to Mumsnet! I'm not going to have the definite answer you probably want but I had a couple of thoughts- Firstly if you're forgetting the pill but don't want children it might be a good idea to look at other forms of contraception like the implant so you don't have the worry of forgetting pills?

Re: when to test I'd honestly say don't test before you think your period would be due, there's honestly no point as if it's negative you won't fully trust it so won't feel any resolution and equally it's much less likely to show up if you test early. I know you've said your periods have been a bit all over the shop so maybe leave it a couple of weeks? (For what it's worth I'm currently 25 weeks with my first child, had no symptoms of pregnancy whatsoever and didn't test positive until 5 days after my period was due). It can be so easy to interpret every twinge as being pregnancy signs but they might not be Xx

Well I'm fine with having children, my partner not so much. I had the implant for 6 years. The first time it was wonderful. I had no periods at all and the 2nd time I had constant spotting/periods for almost the whole time.

The only reason I've been forgetting the pill is due to moving house and changing hours at work. I went from 10 hour shifts to 12 hours and always had my pill in my bag. However that seems to have gone out of the window since moving so I just need to readjust myself with taking the pill and I'll be fine.

I honestly couldn't tell you when my period is due. I've had irregular periods my whole life. Sometimes I have 21 day cycles, sometimes 28 and sometimes even as long as 35. It's not the same month to month. The only reason I had indications of ovulating was due to the EWCM because I've never had it before and never realised it was a thing until it happened.
