Early pregnancy scan Cornwall/Devon

Hi all,

Are there any South West ladies on here that could point me in the direction of a private facility that offer early 'reassurance' scans? I've recently found out I'm pregnant (6 weeks today) and contacted my GP to see whether he could refer me to the EPU as I've yet to have a successful pregnancy and have had 4 miscarriages. The EPU won't see me as I've had no pain or bleeding and I won't be seen until the normal 8-10 weeks.

I'm struggling to not get my hopes up and know unless I find out either way I'll be gutted if the worse does happen and I'm not already prepared for it.

I went to babybond in exeter at 8 weeks. It was £100 well spent!

There's the babyskan in Truro that does private scans. Not sure on early reassurance ones but might be worth a phone call

Baby bond in Exeter - I have found them great when I have been there.

Should also add I saw them for exactly the same reason 4 m/cs and they were very understanding!

....however try calling the EPU directly, they told me to call theme due to the recurrentire m/cs and we're happy to see me without referral, but I had been with them in clinic.

There is a baby bond in Plymouth as well that offered reassurance scans if that is closer for you.

I had a precious miscarriage and a precious ectopic pregnancy which resulted in emergency surgery and a tube being removed. I moved areas and during my third / current pregnancy I was denied the opportunity to have an early scan.

I didn't book in privately as I didn't have any pain and bleeding.

So It was quite the shock at my 12 weeks scan when I found out I was having twins! I am now 31 weeks and everything is going well. I hope everything goes well for you x

Babyskan in Truro do early reassurance scans I think from 7-8 weeks. They have a website and facebook page which gives details of the early scan they offer.

Baby bond are one option but i would suggest window to the womb in exeter. They offer a much more tailored scans from 6-40 weeks. They are cheaper than baby bond and also give you an amazing service, with such fabulous staff. You just need to look at their google reviews. X
