This will be #1 after a long 18 months of miscarriages, infertility and heartache but i'm feeling super positive about this one and ready to enjoy the next few months!

Hi I'm new to mumsnet but just found out I'm pregnant with my first baby - just over 4 weeks 🤗 delighted but only me and my husband know so it's hard not having anyone to talk to about it all! 🙈

It's exciting but looking forward to seeing my doc and getting everything confirmed. Appointment next Tuesday 😬😬 been very tired and waves of dizziness but otherwise not too bad! How far along are you? X

I found out last night that we are having a baby too - our first! The app I am using says 5 weeks approx. Its weird because although this was planned and is very much wanted - I feel so overwhelmed!

Hello everyone! Booking in app today was hilarious. Picture this.

A kitchen with a hole in the wall when the window should be, the wall knocked in, half a kitchen and three builders. Then a living room literally RAMMED full of flat pack furniture. And the midwife and I sitting on one sofa with DH on the floor.

Just classic. Poor woman!! All went well. Also having another scan tomorrow so just hoping all is well. It's DH's birthday so that would not be a great day to have any bad news....

Can i have some advice please? I'm a manager for around 6 employees who i'm quite close to. They have twigged something is going on. If all is well tomorrow am i best to just tell them about the pregnancy? It's a week before i would have told them usually..... I'm 10.4 today.

@CL1982 bloods were fine but sore. Got to wait a week for results. I would just let them know and ask them to keep it quiet until you have told everyone else. How are you feeling?

@mummygof2boys Yeah ok thanks! You? Still get the odd sickness but it's manageable. I'll be glad of that scan tomorrow i think. I still get very anxious that we'll get in there and there will be no heartbeat or something awful! Glad bloods went well! I also got spiked this morning. Luckily i don't mind them much. Good plan actually. May have a chat with DH tomorrow.

@CL1982 I'm trooping through. Just glad it's all worth it after seeing bubs yesterday. Bet you can't wait to see wee one again tomorrow. My neck is so sore and I think that's what's causing the headaches. So sore. How do you think our colleagues will react?

@mummygof2boys i think happy for me. I do feel rushed though. I would like to tell the after the 12 week scan if i'm honest....

Why do you feel like you need to tell them? Are you in a high risk job? Or is it just because you think they have twigged

Basically yes. My boss was saying there was some rumbling as i was at the doctor's again today. Actually i think they just need to back out of my business especially as i'm their boss.. Maybe i will wait. I'll see what DH says this evening!!

@CL1982 you don't have to tell anyone!!! Keep it to yourself for as long as you want and don't feel pressured to tell them anything. They don't need to know why you were at the doctors
