Hello all ,

My wife is having period like pains and feeing the muscles tightening in her belly area and the stomach feels very hard and then relaxes after 30 seconds . this has been happeneimg for around 1hour - 1hour 15 mins . The pain is more lower down in the pubic area but then goes away.

We know not to call until the pain does become intense .

Could this be early labour ?

Honestly if you're concerned about movement just phone the Ward they will be more than happy to check your wife over and in fact would much rather she come in than sit worrying at home.

Congratulations op! I knew it was it as soon as I read your post. This is exactly what my labour was like this time 8 weeks ago. Started with lots of non painful tightenings all day Saturday and "painful" labour only one hour or so and born the Sunday morning. Enjoy this magical time Smile
