Hi I'm 37 weeks today with DC2 and I was just wondering when I should sterilise the bottles?

DC1 came 18 days early so may be panicking prematurely but I need to be prepared just in case

I know they only last a certain while once sterilised but even though I am going to try and BF when in hospital I was going to take bottles and formula just in case...do these need to be sterilised first even though they are shrink wrapped?

I honestly can't remember what I done with my first and my bag is prepared other than the bottles
Confused

If you want to try formula you can get little bottles of pre maid formula with individual sterilised lids that you just screw on. You couldn't really manage bottles in hospital. You might be better not opening them incase you don't need them and want to return them.
You would definitely have to wash and sterilise before use even if new from the packing. But steam steriliser only tales 10 mins so don't worry about that until the time comes.
