Can anyone help? Warning TMI photo

I've just been for an early scan as I was having pains which we think are down to a large cyst on ovary:
I am 8 weeks 2 days and I have been measured at 8 weeks 4 with a heartbeat at the scan this morning. It was only abdominal and not vaginal so nothing has been up there but I am now getting this discharge:
Has anyone had anything similar to this or can shed a light - i'm convincing myself it's not the baby as we saw heartbeat only hours ago but ...

If it's displaying the colour correctly on my phone that's brown discharge? I had the same at that timeframe and the midwife said it's when I would have had my period (I had the same again four weeks later).

As it was explained to me, brown discharge (as opposed to red blood) isn't too worrying. However PLEASE ring your midwife or doctor if you're worried - you can't base your decisions on what has happened to other people and no one ever got cross with a pregnant woman for checking everything is ok

I've had exactly that twice during this pregnancy and all is still going well (at least it was on Friday!). Mine was also when my period would have been due, 8+3.

Oh and I have a cyst on my ovary too!

I had quite a lot of discharge while pregnant and some of it was brown buy was told not to worry about brown discharge as that means it's old blood. My son is 10 weeks now Try to relax and stay positive, chances are it's completely normal. I even had brown discharge at the very end of my pregnancy so God knows how old that blood was!

Thank you everyone - you're definitely making me feel better - this is my second pregnancy but first ended in MC which was found at 9 weeks but baby had stopped growing at 6 +4 so I'm so over anxious about everything!

I had loads of that a few weeks ago over 4 days at 12.5wks. I was examined and scanned, and no cause found. Easier said than done but try not to worry x

Thank you @MaryShelley1818 - I'm trying to remain calm.. I've booked a private scan for a week on Sunday, I don't mind paying for peace of mind that everything is okay, seems a loooong wait until my next hospital scan so hopefully everything will be okay like it was for you.
