Hi just wondered if anyone else has this? I was checked over today after some brown discharge (again) and they sad I had ectropion, wondered if anyone else had been told they had this and whether the brown discharge would have been from that? Tia x

I was told I had an ectropian cervix before I got pregnant with ds1 but it never caused any issues.

Now pregnant with ds2 and I've had spotting 3 times and been told that's what is causing it but I'm not sure. I'm 30 weeks with a healthy pregnancy though

I have it. It was the cause of a major bleed during my first trimester. I stopped having sex and haven't bled since. Mine was bright red and soaking through pads so not sure about brown discharge. It isnt harmful to the baby though. Good luck.

I had it in my first pregnancy. I had some light bleeding but it didn't cause any problems. Didn't have any bleeding in my subsequent pregnancies.

I had an ectropion with my second child. I had bleeding which ranged from fresh red to brown. It's not considered serious it's just so with overgrowth of the blood vessels on your cervix due to hormonal changes. I used to get it when I was in the combi pill too.

I had cervical ectropian and had a bright red bleed at 11+4 then brown spotting from 14 to 16 weeks. Now 33 weeks and so far haven't had any further issues

Thank you for the replies Smile
I've had brown discharge on and off throughout my pregnancy and one time red blood, I'm 23 weeks today just hoping that's the last of the brown discharge it's so worrying when it happens, normally they just listen to the babys heartbeat but today they did an internal examination and said about the ectropion xx

I bled from 8 weeks up until my son was born 8 weeks ago! Sometimes it was red but mostly brown, listened to baby and everything was fine. Totally normal and harmless x
