okay, i got my bfp on Monday... i did another test today

and there is still a line but quite feint. I am hoping maybe i didn't submerge it for as long as i should have.... it's not possible to become unpregnant really is it? I mean, i know about hcg levels doubling daily, and reducing if you lose the baby . This isn't a bad sign is it? a bfp is still a bfp if there's a line isn't it?

A lines a line you are still PG. Call your GP if youre worried

There could be all sorts of reasons for a fainter line- weaker urine, weaker test, not submerged for long enough, submerged for too long etc.

Not necessarily a bad sign. GP I think if you're worried.

What LV said - a line is a line, you're pregnant.

But definitely go check with your GP is your worried, because stress is bad for mummies . Go and be reassured.

are the test the same brand?
oucl it be 2 differnet one picking up the levels diferently?

i did 2 on monday - the tescos one has a feint line, the sainsbury's one had a slightly darker, line and today's was another sains one.... odd

got a clear blue burning a hole in the drawer under the bed. will try and hold out a few more days. lol

It really will differ from one brand of test to another, and depending on when you did it and how much liquid you'd drunk and how long you dunked it for and all that. And hcg doesn't necessarily double every other day - it can take longer than that and still be normal.

The good news is that lower hcg levels can mean less morning sickness!

Have the lines got pink or blue colour in them? If so you are pg. If its really stressing you, splash out on one of those clear blue digital ones that just say "pregnant".

they deffo have the same colour as the tester line. just went up and got today's offering out of the bin and it is possibly darker than i remembered (then again it was 6.45 when i tested so maybe the light in the room was darker iyswim). I know you are meant to disregard tests that have been left more than 1 mins but this one has the same result, just a bit darker perhaps.

Got some mummy friends coming round in a mo (toddler free- all at nursery hurrah). Going to keep quiet. One of them is pg and told us at 13 weeks, the other is trying... (both for number 3, this is my number 2) I thought i would want to tell them, but i actually feel quite protective about the result in case anything happens.

I think the moral of this story is- If you get a BFP, DONT do another test just to make sure!!
