Chinese gender predictors

A friend of mine is pregnant and is obsessed with these Chinese gender predictors/charts. So I had a look (I'm not pregnant but hope to be)... but there seems to be different ones. According to one, my son should have been a girl.

What are other people's experiences? This is just meant to be lighthearted, I wondered how many people they were right/wrong for!

I just had a bit of fun with this. I put in my date of birth and details for all three of my DC. The prediction for each of them was a girl. I have three boys

I also did it for my mum's pregnancy with me as I know what her due date was. It predicted a boy, so also wrong!

I don't get how they can be taken seriously. If you google the charts, 100 different ones come up 🤣

Maybe it only works if you are Chinese

My husband is Korean, and in Korea they believe that you can predict the gender based on the dreams you have. My MIL said maybe it won't work for me because I'm not Korean.

Doesn't let me put in age when conceived but has been correct for my other 2 with the one I used.

They all say this baby will be a girl.

They also all said DD would be a boy!

Maybe you need your age according to the Chinese calendar

The chart I saw when I was pregnant didn't work for me either.

The one I saw was correct for me.

Mine was right for both, DS6 and due DD next month probably a fluke though lol

It was right for me both times (DS and DD) although I only looked at it for a bit of fun! I suppose it has a 50% chance of being right!

I don't believe in it (and has been wrong for me both times -- did check!), but ThinkFast is right: it only works in principle if you input your Chinese age according to the lunar calendar.

This is (depressingly) a year or so more than your actual age because the Chinese start counting at conception, I think.

This was accurate with both mine. Predicted a boy this pregnancy so we'll soon find out

hopsalong I did it with Chinese dates for DD and it still says boy.

They don't work, it's 50/50 so if it's "right" for you a coin toss might have been right as well!
