Early scan

Hello,

Had an early scan due to some bleeding. Dates based on last period would be 6W 4D.
All went well and they could see a heartbeat.
Measurements were only 3mm and she did comment that this was very small.

Is 3mm about right for those dates? She did say it's too early to date from a scan, and that's fine. I was just wondering if anyone else was the same?

Don't know what my measurement was but, I was measuring over a week behind on my 6 week scan. Recently had a 10 week scan and I was exactly right measurements wise

Thanks :) probably just too early!

I hope everything goes well for you in your pregnancy. Try to remember that the sonograoher is measuring in mm so there is loads of room for error, especially with a baby that is moving round. As difficult and anxious as pregnancy is, especially when you have experienced bleeding and it is such early days, it is really positive to have seen a heartbeat.

Thank you for your kind words.
I must try to stop over thinking everything!
