Hi, I'll try keep this as short as possible as too not bore you all!

I'm 26 weeks 2 days pregnant, got married 2 weeks ago and currently in the process of moving out. (Waiting to hear we've been accepted for the house but all being well get the keys next Monday)

Have a reasonably stressful job. Senior member of staff, emotionally and physically stressful. (On feet all day, dealing with mental health/medication etc) 5 weeks ago I got signed off for 2 weeks due to stress and worry about the baby with so much going on. Then had 3 weeks holiday for wedding and honeymoon. Was due to go back this morning but in all honesty couldn't face it, as well as being in hospital all weekend with a bleed and high blood pressure. Can't face the stress of my job the pressure that is continuously put on me to pick up extra shifts as we are so short staffed, all the time.

I tried to explain to my manager before I was signed off that I wasn't coping and asked to be moved to some lighter/less stressful duties for a while but was told I was unable too as they couldn't justify paying someone for these jobs. That's fine, understandable. Until they put someone else on these duties as she got bored of her current role!

By options this morning are too go back to the doctors and get signed off for another 3 weeks until I'm 29 weeks and start my maternity, as I don't intend on going back after maternity finishes.
Or to go and see my manager this morning as ask about going part time with the risk they are going to still pressure me into extra shifts/work.
If I get signed off now I don't want to do nothing between now and baby so is there anything you guys could suggest that I do in the mean time, to keep myself busy!? Ideally would be a receptionist job or something like that but I know that know one will hire me as I'm pregnant so I'm a bit stuck in a rut at the minute between wanting to work but not at my current job Sad

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much for taking your time to read!

I was going to suggest getting signed off sick but you can't then go and do another job or have I misunderstood something? You could perhaps do some voluntary work or gentle exercise classes.
