How on earth am I supposed to shave my legs??

I can't bend over in the shower anymore, I feel like I'm squashing my belly, and I get lightheaded. I usually shave in the bath but I'm finding baths in our tiny bathtub increasingly awkward!!

Am I condemned to being a Yeti for the next few months?!!!

Ha! I'm the same OP... I only shave upto the knee so can just about manage - I've asked DH to help with bikini shave soon though!

I like yetis.

Mymouthgetsmeintrouble · 25/06/2017 17:11

I bought a tube of nair when i was shopping as i am a wooly mammoth atm

DoubleCarrick · 25/06/2017 17:12

I bought an electric razor. I found that I didnt have to be as careful as with a wet razor and it seemed to have a longer reach

AudacityJones · 25/06/2017 17:15

Either book yourself in for a wax, or if there is a DP/DH around get them to do it. I sat on a plastic stool and managed for a few weeks but finally had to get DH to do it!

Babyblues14 · 25/06/2017 17:16

I had to sit on the side of the bath and put my leg on the wall the last time I did it. My dh came in and saw me and just laughed. I think I'll be asking for help next time, I dont seem to be able to bend in any direction Smile

GreenGoblin0 · 25/06/2017 17:29

this has just given me a flashback to after the birth when they were stitching/cleaning me up and I was apologising for my hairy legs. my plan was for dp to do them for me but we never got round to it!

minniemummy0 · 25/06/2017 17:58

See my dp has offered but I don't think he'll do a good job so I've refused so far!! Although he claims men are more experienced at shaving I say shaving a face is totally different to legs!!

If I say on the side of the bath I'd probably break the damn thing.

Maybe I should get one of those stools older people/ people who have accessibility needs get? I feel like that may be a mockery of people who really need them though.

I washed everywhere then sat down on the floor of the shower to shave my legs ... then called my DH to help me get up (the no stick mat normally suctioned to my bum to make it all the more appealing) 😂

ClaraLane · 25/06/2017 19:13

I'm having this problems so I bought some Veet and sat on the toilet seat to apply it, bonus was that it lasted quite long too!

Tidypidy · 25/06/2017 19:17

Embrace the hair! Enjoy the feel of a cool breeze rippling though it!

Just kidding, get your DH to do it!

notomatoes · 25/06/2017 20:48

Face is totally different to legs! Me and DP had an argument about what direction to do it in so I decided he couldn't be trusted and I just have patchy legs.

IWantABlueBanana · 25/06/2017 21:03

I usually used veet but I ended up with it plastered over my belly last time trying to reach the ankles so just bought an electric bikini trimmer. Was a god send!

I did let dh do my legs once, it was too nerve racking though, I reckon the toddler doing it would have been safer

adlertippa · 25/06/2017 23:10

I've just given up Grin Once I've had the baby (any day now) and the dust has settled I'm going to lock myself in the bathroom with a hedge trimmer and sort myself right out

RoseVase2010 · 25/06/2017 23:13

Sit on the side of the bath?

When I had DS1 I managed to shave mine in the shower until 33 weeks (when he was born).

Hekabe · 26/06/2017 00:00

I'm managing in the bath just... I wave the razor around the leg with oodles of soap and hope for the best. I can't see . same with the bikini line. Electric razor works too as it has a guide (no nips)!!
