If anything it would be more risky at the start - but I really don't think there's any risk at all. I'd go for it. I've done mine twice and I'm only 4 months!

I don't think k there's any solid evidence against colouring your hair is there? I coloured my hair throughout my first pregnancy however I only got a kind of balayage done so as not to get any bleach on my scalp... Just incase Blush

Oh, thinking on it there's plenty people I know who have coloured at the root without any probs though!!!!

I have done my roots throughout every pregnancy, having asked my midwife and researched myself I decided that it was ok for me. Whether you would be getting a professional to do it or doing it yourself I would strongly advise carrying out a patch test and strand test, even if it would be products you have used successfully in the past, as skin and hair can react differently during pregnancy. Sorry you are feeling down about your appearance, I hope if you decide to go ahead that it will give you a little boost.

I'm a midwife and had my hair coloured regularly when pregnant with both of mine.
