Yoga vs Pregnancy yoga

I love doing yoga, have done before I fell pregnant. At the moment I go to one or two classes a week but I'm almost 22 weeks pregnant and there's some poses that I just can't do anymore because of my bump (think lying flat on front and twisting). My yoga teacher is fairly good at giving me adaptations but I'm getting bigger by the day and each class is getting harder, with more changes. I've been looking at pregnancy classes but I know yoga varies a lot and didn't know what to expect. I don't want to sacrifice my class for something that's too different. Has anyone done any pregnancy yoga? What's it like?

Yes I do pregnancy yoga and it is a lot lighter than "normal" yoga. As when your pregnant there are positions that are not good to do or just uncomfortable. My pregnancy yoga class is really relaxing and releases any pregnancy related tension but I suppose all classes are different but I really enjoy mine.

I just started pregancy yoga this week and it is a lot slower than my normal yoga but then I am used to ashtanga. I think though that as I start getting bigger I will be gratful for this and I am happy that I am not inadvernatly doing poses that arnt that great for pregancy e.g inversions ect.

Interesting, thanks. I think that's what I'm concerned about, that it'll be too slow bit I think there'll be a point where I have to give in. I found last night's class quite tough but I'm hoping it was just the heat!
