I'm walking like an old lady! Is this SPD?

I'm just wondering if this is normal. I have had some serious pain in my pelvis area over the past couple of weeks (it feels like my fango is going to split in half!). Yesterday it got worse as I walked for a few miles in heels (not sensible I know) and this morning it's really bad and I can't walk properly or stand up straight. The pain is all round my hips and back, but worse on the front where the pubic hair is (sorry if TMI !!). Does this sound like SPD? What should I do? Can the dr or mw do anything? I had really bad hip pain when pg last time, but nothing compared to this.

BTW I am 27 weeks pg.

Naturelover it was my first baby to and it started when I was about 17 weeks gone!!! Started off as a slight niggle which I was also told was ligaments stretching. I mentioned earlier in the thread I ended up on crutches for 3 months so please keep pushing if it's no better. Hopefully with a bit of rest yo'll be fine though
Hollieandalice I cant belive they wont refer you due to lack of funds!!!! SPD is an extremley painful condition I don't know what I'd have done without the physio. I'm in scotland and on the front of my medical card was a phone number for the maternity physio department which you rang if you felt like you needed to see someone I didn't realise how lucky I was! Can't you GP push for you?

Oh no, it sounds like it could be spd after all. I will wait a few days, rest a lot, and see if there's an improvement. I really really wanted an active pregnancy (swimming, cycling, yoga) and birth (at home) and hope this won't rule it out. I have a bent coccyx (rollerblading accident years ago) and am worried this will make my lower back flare up (which it sometimes does). Will try to stay optimistic. Thanks for the advice everyone.

I have spd & am on crutches i have everything you described. Make an app with physio they'll really help. I'm 29 weeks at the min & finding it really tough going especially with a toddler. Good luck
