Hi

Just wondering if someone who has experienced round ligament pain could tell me exactly what it's like? X

Really sharp on one side of tummy when I moved. Sort of belly button across to hip area.

if you are worried, please ring the number in your notes

Mine have happened just on the inside of my hip bone (described to me as where a high cut swimming costume would sit). They've always felt like sharp snaps that hurt like hell for a second and then pass. Usually if I move suddenly or sneeze

Mine are always like a sharp stab on the side, kind of over by my hipbone down to pubic bone, sometimes like a mix of a cramp and the delightful stabby. Mine tend to linger and burn for a few minutes after the initial sharp stab.

Thankyou for the replies Smile

Mine are the same but when I spoke with the midwife she didn't mention ligament pain or say anything when I did, just told me to lay down and rest and call back if any worse! I've worked myself up into a right state thinking it's something major wrong, but going by what's been said here sounds like round ligament pain x

It felt like a stitch x 100, really painful. I had it on one side one day then the other the next, for about half an hour each time - turned out to be the baby getting into a nice head down position so hopefully it's a good thing for you Smile

Nothing really helped except lying in a foetal position and complaining...

Yes curling up helps take the pressure off. I now automatically curl up if I sneeze, just in case!
