Hi everyone, I'm new here. I had a baby in November who's now 7.5 months, and I'm also 20 weeks pregnant. I'm slightly concerned that I never really notice this baby kicking/moving. I assume it's because I'm so occupied with my 1st baby, but is this normal? Has anyone else in this situation failed to notice their baby moving? Thanks x

Yes second baby hardly noticed him at all during pregnancy, I assumed due to busy job and looking after toddler. Turns out he was breach and it was only after he turned about 36 weeks it was like oh there you are!

I think 20 weeks is still pretty early movement wise.

Hi Mummamayhem, thanks for your message. I feel exactly the same, I hardly notice this pregnancy at all, to the point we can go days without mentioning it, not that we aren't happy about it, it just seems a bit unreal at the moment. With my first I could feel her move at around 16 weeks, I have a scan in 10 days time so hopefully all is well x

DD1 moved so much I could see her sticking feet out. We would sit for ages and watch my stomach moving.
DD2 3 years later - hardly any movement. I was really disappointed.
All babies are different and it is changes in their movement that you really need to monitor.
Congrats by the way!

Could be an anterior placenta too. I felt nothing till about 24/25wks n then felt things that I thought could be movements. Definitely feel then now at 34wks

My first baby (now 5) kicked all the time. This one (38 weeks) almost never kicks, I feel her moving about but she is so different to my first. I ended up going for a couple of movement checks as was worried initially, but everything fine.

My second baby kicks like crazy and I notice him all the time. With my first though, he had hardly ever moved. If I'd had them the other way round I'd have been so worried about lack of movement with my first!! My first LB is really verbal but never been much of a climber and walked really late so I'll be interested to see if this next one is a wild one and actually they're in utero movements are mirrored as they become little people?? I work mornings every day and never feel anything too much running around but as soon as I get home and sit down she starts kicking like crazy. First baby, 27 weeks now and just trying not to obsess over it. Not too worried about lack of movement because she really goes for it at night. Actually saw a foot yesterday Confused so crazy!!!
