Not as far along as I thought!

So this is my first post! I have been having cramps and upset tummy, I went to my doctor and they sent me to the early pregnancy unit. My last period was in Mid April and I got my bfp on the 7th may! So by my calculations I was 9 weeks pregnant. Because of the pain they scanned me and told me I could be expecting twins but one sac was currently empty and the other just had an early yolk. They thought about 5 weeks pregnant. Please tell me not to give up hope. I'm so worried T.I.A x

Has the bleeding stopped?
When will they rescan you?

It's a whole months difference and you got your BFP quite a while ago so you should be 9 weeks.

Was there a heartbeat?

There was no bleed they expecte ectopic but that all looked fine. It was apparently too early for heartbeat etc and they are scanning me again in two weeks. I'm so worried that there is something wrong with the baby/ies if the second develops. They told me that as it's two sacs my hcg would be higher resulting in an early bfp.

I had completely wrong dates too. They scanned me and said I was about 5 weeks behind where I thought I was.

It was worrying at the time but it all turned out well.

A BFP a whole month early?

How confusing for you. Are twins known to grow much slower?

Thank you for your responses that makes me feel so much better Newjob12345. I have no idea as I have three single pregnancies before this and never had anything like this happen with them.

How are you doing OP?

The babies had stopped developing at 5ish weeks. So I lost them both. I passed the sacs last week and have had very heavy bleeding since so not so good. Thank you for asking xx

I'm so sorry OP, there is a lot of great support on the miscarriage boards. Do talk about it and let it out. I had two miscarriages before my DS, one at 12 weeks and the other at 6.5 weeks. It was horrendous. Be easy on yourself xx

Thank you. I have looked at the boards but at the minute I am finding it quite hard to read. I keep checking back with them and I hope that I will be able to read them without getting so upset soon. Thank you again for your support.

Just take your time and do what you need to do to get through it x
